Ambazonian Farmers experience severe post harvest losses due to inadequate knowledge on how to preserve their food. The situation is dire for Ambazonian mothers (buyam/sellam) who don’t have storage facilities to store their (potatoes, yams, corn, beans etc) when they are unable to sell all their merchandise. LRC gov’t’s policy to inflict maximum economic pain on our hardworking people has intentionally not provided extension services to help farmers reduce post harvest losses.

As a result of the Ambazonian war of Independence, providing farmers with information on how to preserve their food is critical to reducing hunger and poverty during this challenging period.

With local materials, farmers can make their own low cost local post harvest technologies to reduce post harvest losses.
