Amba Farmers living in rural areas without electricity have no means of storing and preserving the fresh vegetables that they cultivate. Ambazonian mothers (buyam/sellam) who sell fresh vegetables (tomatoes, carrots, green peppers) suffer severe financial losses when they are unable to sell all their merchandise. LRC gov’t’s policy to inflict maximum economic pain on our hardworking people intentionally cuts off electricity so that the few Ambazonians with fridges in cities lose whatever food they have in their fridges.
With local materials, you can make your own fridge that can store fresh vegetables (njamanjama, green pepper, etc) for up to two weeks without the need for electricity. You could even preserve ripe tomatoes for up to a month.
Want to know how? Whether you are in the city or rural area, you can learn how to make your own fridge on Sunday, June 14, 2020 live via Amba Farmers Voice Facebook Page & SCBC TV at 4.pm. Amba Time, 11 am Washington DC time.
